August Active Adults Newsletter

August is a month full of meaningful moments for reflection, celebration, and connection at our senior center. We honor National Senior Citizens Day on August 17—a special time to recognize the wisdom, contributions, and experiences of older adults in our community. This month also includes Purple Heart Day (Aug 7), paying tribute to veterans wounded in service, and Women’s Equality Day (Aug 26), celebrating the progress toward gender equality. As we observe National Immunization Awareness Month, it's a great reminder to stay up to date on important vaccinations. Join us throughout August as we celebrate these observances with special activities, discussions, and community gatherings.
