Hello,
I wanted to share some news about changes we need to make for programs at the Westside Cottages.
The YMCA Youth programs for the summer had one of their host venues drop out unexpectedly and so to make space for their summer camp programs, some branches are making arrangements to create space. The Senior Center at Westside Cottages is also creating space for 35-40 kids. As some of you know, this was what we did last year. We didn't expect it would be for 2024 and we planned our summer schedules accordingly. Now we are being asked to provide the same two rooms we did before and that will begin May 28th through August 9th.
Christa and I have been racking our brains to create a plan on how we move our programs and what to cancel that we cannot move. Our friends at Westside have graciously offered a room where some of our programs can take place and with the same days and times. This was a huge relief. We are working with class leaders and groups to find solutions.
We know that this is going to be an inconvenience. We are looking to find the best solutions that are available. We will do our best with the situation that we are given. Please be patient with us and understand that we do care and want to move forward with decisions that have the least impact for you. We are sorry that these changes will affect the classes that you take with us. The good news is that it will primarily be for the month June and July so the time is limited.
