COVID-19 Update
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region continues to closely monitor the guidelines set forth by the CDC and El Paso County. The safety of our members and staff remains our highest priority and we continue to take extra precautions in the cleaning and sanitizing of our centers, as well as following all mask mandates and social distancing protocols.

Though our community is entering into Level Orange: Safer at Home as of
5 p.m. Friday, November 13
, we know that the ability to continue working out is key to combating mental, emotional, and physical stressors. We will remain open at this new safety level, but we will be aligning with the latest requirements and downsizing the number of members working out within a given space or room.

Due to the new restrictions, the Y's Fall Basketball season will be postponed until after Thanksgiving Break. At that time we will reevaluate the state and county restrictions to determine if we are able to complete the season. Group November Swim Lesson sessions will also conclude Thursday, November 12. Individual swim lessons will continue as planned.

We will send updates out as we know more information. We appreciate your patience and understanding! To ensure you have the latest information regarding your Y, please visit ppymca.org/wellnessmatters regularly.

Adventure Academy is BACK!

School may be virtual, but the Y is LIVE! The YMCA Adventure Academy is designed with the structure of a school day but with a twist of YMCA adventure. We will provide time daily for youth to focus on online schoolwork while also engaging in interesting and challenging activities to help youth learn and grow.

Mindfulness Blog

At the Y, we strongly believe health encompasses spirit, mind, and body. We are excited to bring you a rich variety of tools and resources via our mindfulness blog to help nurture your mind and spirit.

Senior Center Cookbook

While our centers were closed, our amazing local seniors worked together to create a cookbook with their own recipes, ranging from Breads & Breakfast, Salads & Sides, Beverages, Casseroles, Entrées, Soups & Desserts! Pre-order a copy now for just $5!

Virtual Workouts
Regular exercise is one component of a healthy lifestyle that can help reduce stress and prevent illness. With the Y, you can stream workouts from home for FREE! We have a variety of at-home exercise options to stay healthy from the comfort of your own home, including equipment-optional workouts.
Winter Basketball
2021 winter youth basketball registration opens November 23! We are currently offering programs for grades preschool - 12th grade. Practices begin the week of
January 18!
Youth Art Show

Our young artists have been working very hard on recycled arts projects in celebration of Arts Month. We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Art Auction - Virtual Style. All funds raised will support the YMCA's Annual campaign, so we will never have to turn anyone away from the Y.

Virtual Turkey Trot 5K

Join us for this year's Turkey Trot 5K - an annual tradition with a 2020 twist.
It's the race that you know and love, bringing the community together while staying six feet apart. You can run your Turkey Trot 5k wherever and whenever you want (and sleep in on Thanksgiving), knowing that your race registration made a positive impact.
When you sign up for the Turkey Trot 5K, you choose where you want to make a difference. You can designate your registration fees to support seniors, child care or health and wellness for all. 100% of the funds raised from the race will go right back to helping our community.

All participants will receive a t-shirt, and all furry friends will receive a bandana and dog treat. Register early and save! The price increases to $40 on November 23.
