New Senior Center Update
We would like to inform Senior Center members on the determined site location for the new Senior Center. This will be in the northeast corner of the Golf Acres property at the intersection of Caramillo Street and Hancock Avenue. A site location map is shown below. This decision was made with feedback from current Senior Center patrons, service providers, community members and other stakeholders.

As for timeline, we're expecting to break ground in August 2023 with an anticipated construction period of 18-24 months. We acknowledge this will be a major impact to current services at the Senior Center, and the City will work closely with YMCA staff to maintain service to the best of our ability during construction. Other tenants at Golf Acres have been notified, and the City will work with them to support their relocation.

We will continue to provide additional information and updates as it relates to the transition and the interim plan for Senior Center program and class offerings over the coming months.
