May is National Older Americans Month
Older Americans Month has been celebrated in May since 1963. The 2022 theme is "AGING MY WAY!"and this month is a time to recognize the strength of older adults and the contributions they have made and continue to make to our communities.

      MEET SARA, OUR NEW
      DIRECTOR OF SENIOR PROGRAMS!

        Sara is the Director of Senior Programs and has been serving seniors for over 15 years. Sara grew up in the midwest, where she earned degrees in therapeutic recreation and recreation administration. In her free time, Sara enjoys the outdoors with her 3 dogs and husband, yoga, and attempting to play music. She is very excited to join the team at the Senior Center and is looking forward to getting to know our patrons.

          Song Spinners are BACK!

            We are a performing troupe that uses music, props, costumes and choreography. to entertain and bring joy to our audiences.  We are very entertaining and our hour show is a very fast pace and engaging show. The music that we are doing this Spring ranges from sets of music from the 20's, 50's, 60's, gospel, Broadway, Rock & Roll, TV tunes and a Patriotic finale. We transition to each of these sets of music right before your eyes - you will love it! Hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided.

              We will discuss common Medicare Mistakes that can occur for anyone with Medicare, along with a mini tutorial of how Medicare works, and how one can apply.

              Medicare 101 - Thursday, June 9 - 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. FREE

              This class will dive into the world of Medicare, and help them understand what their options are and will be.

              Medicare & Medicaid Thursday, July 14 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. FREE

              In Medicare and Medicaid, we will focus on Low Income Subsidy, Medicaid, Medicare and how they all can combine to help those in need.

              Im a Veteran, do i need Medicare? Thursday, August 11
              1:30 - 2:30 p.m. FREE

              In this class, we will discuss Medicare and the options that exist for Veterans when they are eligible.
